1. How long have you been a dermatologist?

More than 10 years. Prior to that I completed an Internal medicine residency with Board Certification and practiced for 1 year while doing a fellowship in clinical research in Grand Blanc Michigan.

2. What do you like best about being a dermatologist?

I am a results-oriented doctor and get great satisfaction out of helping my patients be their healthiest best as well as looking their very best. Nothing beats performing Mohs Surgery. Being able to remove skin cancers and curing a patient in the same day is incredible. I am lucky to be able to also use my creative side making people happier with themselves through cosmetic surgery. Not only do the products I use smooth wrinkles and restore facial volume, they restore self-worth and improve self-esteem.

3. What changes would you like to see in the dermatology industry?

The pharmaceutical industry has made skin care products including injectables and topicals unaffordable to the average consumer. I would like to see more affordable prices as well as an open market allowing safe and FDA approved pharmaceuticals to be purchased over state and country lines. Health and beauty should be much more available to all.

4. With such a demanding job, how do you keep up your energy?

I don’t know that I always do but I try with exercising both my body and mind. I enjoy boxing, biking, golf and tennis balanced with hot yoga and Pilates. I also meditate and pray every day to keep things under control.

5. With all the products at a Derm’s fingertips, what is your brand of choice?

Hands down, Skin Better Science! Proven to hydrate the skin while providing the necessary antioxidants and nutrients for healthy skin. I have to admit; I am always in search of the next best thing.

6. How do you keep your fab figure?

It’s a daily struggle and I wish I was better at it. I’m always looking for the newest miracle get-thin-quick trick. It’s those 3-5 extra pounds that seem to creep up with enjoying life. I do try to keep things under control with regular exercise and accepting that’s an ongoing challenge.

7. Are you a healthy eater?

I try to be and am pretty good most of the time. I eat lots of veggies and love a good steak. I cannot tell a lie, I do splurge on French fries, kettle chips and m& m’s…. my cheat foods.

8. How do you chill after a long day?

At the end of the day, both my mind and body are whipped, so first boxing or yoga, then my end-of-the-day reward is a nice glass of wine.

9. What is your go-to restaurant in Palm Beach?

The Seafood Bar at The Breakers Hotel – great food and atmosphere!

10. Cocktail of choice?

An ice cold Grey Goose with soda and a splash of cranberry or grapefruit with lime.

11. Bucket list getaway?

I’m checking off my first one in fall 2017 – celebrating my birthday in Italy and Croatia. Next checkoff is the Holy Land.

12. Favorite store for things you need?

Nordstrom or Lululemon.

13. Favorite store for things you don’t need but want?

David Yurman! I just rebought my favorite ring that was lost or stolen and now I’m replacing some stones…high overhead ring!

14. Dreams for the future?

Right now I am concentrating on growing my practice to further my success into West Palm Beach while contributing to the health needs of the community. Personally, I hope to marry the man of my dreams.

15. Give us the top 3 qualities that got you to where you are today?

Persistence, Persistence and Persistence along with hard work, faith and ‘if at first you don’t succeed’ keep trying and don’t quit.

16. What was your last binge-watch on TV?

NCAA March Madness, House of Cards, suggestions anyone?

17. What should every woman try at least once?

Botox and fillers of course!

18. Name one thing you are especially good at?

Fashion and shopping…sorry , that’s two.

19. Name one thing you are especially bad at?

Organization… I need major help in that department. Can someone help me?

20. What beauty essential do we have to pry out of your hands?

A retinoid and a moisturizer. A must-have in everyone’s arsenal.

21. If you could have dinner with one female hero, who would it be?

Condoleezza Rice…my hero!

22. What advice would you give your younger self?

Live your dreams, block out the negative noise, be kind and stay feminine. Get up, show up and live life as a marathon rather than a sprint!
